Mural Making in the Style Of Keith Haring
My 5th graders discussed what topics they considered important enough to provide a lasting legacy at their elementary school before heading off to middle school.
Several ideas were brainstormed and voted on. They decided that they wanted to showcase "sports and fitness" while showing haring style figures in motion.
Graffiti Art
Students learn about Keith Haring and graffiti art then they make their own work on a vinyl tarp inspired by his style.
Painting with a Message
This lesson focuses on helping kids help themselves and other kids by painting with a message in the style of Keith Haring. It empowers them and teaches that their art can be a source of hope and information for others.
